My name is Zaria Rendon, I am a Portland native who found her passion in hair removal. I am a black owned sugaring studio in Portland, OR. The meaning behind me naming my business Brown Sugar was most importantly to represent who I am as a black woman. But also embracing the skin that you’re in. Being comfortable and loving every part of yourself, no matter the color of your skin, the shape of your body, or the texture of your hair. It is so important to me being a curvy black woman, to make people feel good about themselves. I also feel it’s important to help clients know and feel comfortable with the hair they do have whether they prefer to keep it or not. So many times I have had clients tell me they’ve been shamed by their hair removal specialist for having hair in certain places and thats not what I’m here to do, I want you to leave happy and confident. Hair is healthy, it’s normal, and it’s natural. It may be my job to remove your hair but it’s also my job to make sure its a good experience for you.. Hair removal can be such an intimate experience and often times with a complete stranger. I’ve been there and I know just how uncomfortable it can make an already uncomfortable service. I’ve always strived in making my clients feel confident, comfortable, and included every step of the way! It’s so important to me that clients know how to properly take care of their skin before and after a service. I hope that I get the opportunity to sugar you!
